There are many that agree with the sentiments about retailers selling guns.

But, rather than selling their shares, they have decided to use their shares to begin a process of pressuring the companies t confront this issue. The faith-based group ICCR (Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibiity, New York, NY) is at the forefront of trying to force these companies to stop selling these guns, especially since they position themselves as family-oriented firms.

So, there is another alternative to selling the shares and that is to use those shares to participate in pressuring the company to change.

If you own shares of a social fund that owns these shares, you should find out if they are supporting this effort and if they are not, ask them to join!!!
