Investment Information
Southern Opportunity Fund I, LP, is a for-profit venture capital fund
that will target primarily early-stage, high-growth potential companies
in low- and moderate-income (LMI) areas and other targeted redevelopment
areas in the South. The Fund is designed as a qualified investment for
banking institutions under the Community Reinvestment Act. Within its
geographic focus, the Fund will invest only in businesses that are willing
to move to, or already are located in, LMI communities or other targeted
redevelopment areas. Investments will range from $250,000 to $1.5 million
per transaction. The Fund will invest in companies with great ideas, strong
management, impressive growth potential and the promise of high financial
returns.
