rural cooperatives, local economic development organizations and financial
institutions and is managed by the Northwest Regional Planning Commission
and Wisconsin Business Innovation Corporation.
Social Mission
To foster new market, higher wage jobs, and economic diversification throughout
rural Wisconsin where there is typically a lack of venture capital.
Investment Information
The Fund focuses on Wisconsin's 10 northwest counties, but will consider
investments in other rural areas of the state. The Fund invests primarily
in early stage science-based agriculture and high-tech wood products companies
but has made investments outside these areas in the past and will consider
doing so in the future. Investment sizes typically range from $25,000
to $300,000.
